My 10 year old laptop (which has been running Linux for 9.5 years now) has an SSD, so it'll restart in a normal amount of time. Even old laptops no longer have HDDs only
Not a fan. I totally understand the need for climate protests, we're way too slow. And I also het that you're not gonna get headlines with a small protest somewhere. But why not disrupt things that are actually polluting, instead of throwing soup or paint at works of art. You'll also make enemies by blocking a major road or something, but at least it makes some sense.
It's still pretty scary though. The far right wasn't usually this close to the top. It's like whole political center has been obliterated. Which, to be fair, is something they kinda caused themselves. People have lost trust in the government and are more and more just putting their faith in populists. I'm happy we're at least somewhat matching that with a progressive/left/green vote, but still, scary times.
Damn. I would've expected candy demand to be on a downhill trend, as people seem more and more focused on eating more healthy. I probably live in a bit of a bubble then...
Hmmm, then we have different experiences I guess. A lot of people that I know (friends, family, etc) who used to regularly eat sweets all quit almost 100%. More than fat or processed foods I always hear people talking about reducing sugar/carbs. But that's probably just anecdotal. Still it's surprising to me that they need to produce more, not less, given that people seem to be watching what they eat way more than 10 years ago.
So they're just gonna cry that the EU is the cause of all of our problems. It's Wilders, he always needs someone else to blame. I'm afraid that he'll try to convince a substantial part of Dutch society that "we need to take back control" from Brussels just like they did in the UK. A lot of people don't like nuance and complexity, they just want a silver bullet and people like the PVV and BBB promise them that. Let's pray that NSC and the VVD (lol) have some integrity.
Yuppers. I need CUDA for my machine learning projects, both for hobby and professionally. I considered AMD and their alternative at the time, but it wasn't supported on their consumer cards back then, and I also didn't fully trust their commitment. It's getting better though, so hopefully AMD can convince me for my next GPU in a few years.
