I'm all for peaceful environmental protesting, but destruction of property and historic monuments/items only makes your movement look worse. News will spin it as the protesters being vandals and go about their day. Most people won't think beyond that and will probably associate environmental activism with negative things such as vandalism or whatever else their favorite news calls what they're doing.

Time to shoot the newbie. First used Ubuntu 20.04 in 2022. It was a necessity at the time on that shitty laptop and I had never used Linux before. Wouldn't go back to using that distro or laptop ever again since I have upgraded.

All jokes aside, after hearing that EOL is coming to Win10 this October, I have decided over the summer, before fall quarter is in and I'm back to start my 2nd year of college, that I would definitely be taking everything I need/want off of my desktop and switch to something like mint or MX because of how simple and user friendly they've been to me as someone who's only been using Linux for maybe 2-3 years. Only things I would I need are dedicated time and personal drive to pull that off and a new external drive for storing all my files.

Last time I tried this, on Android, it was miserable. Here's hoping that version isn't a mess and you can actually play it. Months and months of updates and work has surely made it less of a janky mess, right?

Edit: someone found a version on Google Play, but I was definitely talking about an open source version on GitHub. Wanted to make a distinction in case someone thought for whatever reason I was talking about some shitty nostalgia bait mobile port.

The way I see it is Android users are Linux users the same way fans of games who have only played the spin-off games are to people who have played the mainline games. They're just a different kind of fan.

No. If I'm going somewhere to save someone, I don't want my presence to be openly announced to everyone by having my music blaring, especially not some kidnappers. I'd want to be as quiet as possible, whether that's on the way there or while dealing with kidnappers. I'm not smart enough to know what I shouldn't end up saying and who knows if the info I blab about could be used against me in some way, so shutting up would be the best solution.

I mean, if I had the time, skill, and drive, I'd probably go to Hell and back customizing my laptop to look like it's running xp since I think that look still holds up to this day.
