I once lived next door to a former editor of Rolling Stone magazine. He said my musical tastes were 'eclectic' - and I don't think he meant it kindly - I'm quite proud of that, actually.

I think the world today would be noticeably better if one change would have been made back in 1990.

Include an icon editor with Windows 3.x.

The ripple effects down the line? considerable!

@foone I was doing something on one of our Active Directoy servers the other day and it struck me how many of the icons still have that Win3.1 look.

You ever have one of those days where you discover that work's u-matic deck is dead, and you're gonna have to lug yours out of storage just to play a u-matic tape?

Does that happen to anyone else?

@foone my dad acquired dozens of empty u-matic cases back in the 90s, and didn't know what to do with them until we worked out that they were a perfect fit for [a small number I forget exactly how many] CD jewel cases. It all still ended up in landfill of course, but a few years later than might have originally.

tbh I know a lot of you aren’t ready for the end of Man because you aren’t even ready to revert to the quality of life in the 1980’s. We’re talking European QoL here. No A/C.

Imma b real I’m Alt-F4ing when that happens I’m not sticking around to live like that.

@SwiftOnSecurity if you're talking about Air Conditioning, that is one of my least favourite things about my visits to America. Why do you people have such a problem with fresh air?!!
