has anyone seen a system for reporting issues with open source projects where:
anyone is allowed to report issues with the wrong terminology, which can't be reproduced, without the necessary information, basically doing everything "wrong" for bug reporting
there's no expectation that you'll get help when reporting an issue, or get any answer at all
every so often the maintainers look for themes in the chaos and try to identify things to improve
@fasterthanlime@b0rk yeah, this sounds right, more like a telemetry/feedback system than an issue tracker, most open source projects can't afford to run telemetry and see it as a privacy violation so there are few projects that get this kind of information. mozilla crash reporter, abrt into redhat bugzilla, maybe fwupd where you could identify enough bulk of issues to be able to sort and prioritize them, otherwise you'll just get a random smattering of complaints, with no idea how prevalant
@foone at least the RF keyboard probably worked, I have/had a wireless PS/2 keyboard and mouse with an IR dongle, that shit never worked right and was a total waste of money 😕
@notjustbikes it's frustrating that regardless of the Chinese government support, Tesla (and other) has billions from its bonkers stock valuation to invest in making better cars, but they don't have a grip on the social skills to run a successful group project, losing talent from engineering and manufacturing, whereas the Chinese companies have just worked harder and smarter with the funds invested in them. Make a better car by making a better car.
@foone I've played with Scratch a little with the kid and that could be a fun show, just animating the sprites and interacting in interesting ways. I'm not sure how many episodes you can do, but neither was Bob Ross I'm sure.
