@foone I’ve save three wireless keyboards from landfill at work, and the most enraging thing is that Logitech won’t sell new dongles and EXPECT you to throw away the keyboard. They literally told me that.

a USB/BT keyboard can be reused! Clean it up and even keyboards that are 25 years old will work fine.

an RF wireless keyboard has inevitably lost the dongle and is now just taking up space in a landfill as they're no use to anyone.

@foone the sad part (as I have been told) a lot of those "RF" devices are actually just BT with preconfigured pairing settings

Edit: to be clear, sad because they could have been just standard BT but decided to be wasteful for some reason

@foone at least the RF keyboard probably worked, I have/had a wireless PS/2 keyboard and mouse with an IR dongle, that shit never worked right and was a total waste of money 😕
