Just trying to spread the good word about IPv6. Member of an obscure technical group on the internet. Still remember when it was all the ARPANET. DNS/DNSSEC.

Love pretty much any musical instrument with strings and frets (and a few with just strings). Play/build/repair as many of them as I can.

One of the biggest security expertise redpills is this is unironically a good idea and the time spent making fun of it was ill-advised for most users whose physical security threat is not a factor in comparison.

there is a saying "assuming a spherical cow". any security that assumes that ignoring human nature is not an issue is yet another spherical cow.

These megabreaches are just emphasizing security isn’t enough you need to be de-risking by driving data purges and asking critical questions of product teams. You need customer location maybe but you don’t need to store a history of it.

if companies started thinking of PII as toxic/nuclear waste, rather than a potential revenue source (and ignoring all the risks), we'd be much better off.

tbh I know a lot of you aren’t ready for the end of Man because you aren’t even ready to revert to the quality of life in the 1980’s. We’re talking European QoL here. No A/C.

Imma b real I’m Alt-F4ing when that happens I’m not sticking around to live like that.

EU believes in "equal but separate", rather than "separate but equal"...
