What I want from an OS:

Free, or a one time fee

Tells the date and time

Has a folder system that is indexed and easily searched.

Supports Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and Steam.

That's it. Genuinely cannot think of any reason I would ever want my computer OS to do anything more than that.

Rural people are scared to move to the urban areas where life is actually happening, so they have a special resentment towards people who are brave enough to not just move into the city but do it in a new country with a new language and culture.

The only way student loans work in the United States is if they were designed to be a financial tool to prevent educated members of the working class to save up enough money to actually do anything with besides surviving the next few months.
