Epson PC-386 Note A update:
I got the original hard drive working, whoop!
It has an original install of MS-DOS 3.3, so I'll be preserving that. I've switched out the drive for a CF card, currently installing the Japanese PC-9800 version of MS-DOS 6.20.....

@foone just getting my head around PC-98, it's a new adventure for me, loving it. I have managed to get a Gotek connected up to the Epson laptop so far and it's working really well, it was tricky as it's an unusual 2 mode 640k/1.2mb (hardware) floppy drive.

A little Saturday retro computing 'hack':
Usb floppy drives from places like Amazon, only write HD 1.44MB disks, have you ever wanted to write a DD 720k disk on a modern computer easily, without something like a Greaseweazle?
Get yourself a Dell MPF82E, it has a USB port

@foone that would be really awesome, so many good memories with ICQ. Remember the free SMS messaging, back then it used to cost 12 pence (UK) per message, this was a life saver for a skint teenager.
