We should have gone full metric and adopted the Euro years ago. Then all this bollocks about pints and good old sterling would have been done with.
As usual with UK we do everything half arsed and settle for second best.

But who will slap them down for it? We'll just carry on trading (directly or indirectly) and wring our hands. Russia will only take notice of strength. Every thing else is 'weak capitalist fools' and whatever the KGB (they may have a new name but nothing has changed) decide is best for Russia. We need to stand up to them.

They are limbering up - this has been coming for some years but the west will sleepwalk into it. We should have distanced ourselves them years ago instead of sucking up to them for cheap oil and gas.

We ignore the warning signs at our peril.
