Even if that's true (and it probably is, because it was a pretty thin majority to exit in the first place) it would be absolute political suicide to go into this election on the promise of getting us back in.

The anti EU brigade are lunatics and people who voted leave are easily lead. The last thing we need is "Look, they're ignoring your will!" followed by Emperor Farage...

Blackmist ,

EEA does allow free movement of people though, which is most of what made us leave to start with. Mostly because of this prick pretending that hordes of dirty brown refugees were somehow the fault of that.

Last time I tried HDR on Windows, that sucked too.

My Android TV and consoles are about the only devices where it works properly.

I don't think they really care if it's eco or not. It's a 20-30 year boondoggle during which time they can carry on burning fossil fuels while vetoing anything green under the pretence of "but the nuclear is already on the way".

And by the time the nuclear is built, it won't be enough (because of all the electric cars), so they'll carry on with the coal and gas anyway.

SNES ROMs were actually around 4MB. People always spoke about them being 32 Meg or whatever, but they meant megabits.

I did like Animal Well, but gave up after looking at one of the bunny solutions and deciding I didn't have the patience for that.

I think most of the size of games is just graphics and audio. I think the code for most games is pretty small, but for some godforsaken reason it's really important that they include incredibly detailed doorknobs and 50 hours of high quality speech for a dozen languages in raw format.

I could never get on with either of them. I was always a Paint Shop Pro man.

Have to use Paint.NET these days.

I'd like to interject for a moment. ( lemmy.ml ) Englisch

What you’re refering to as Windows, is in fact, GNU/Windows, or as I’ve recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Windows. Windows is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another closed component of a fully functioning GNU system made useful by the GNU corelibs, shell utilities and vital system components comprising...

I'm not completely convinced that isn't Nick Offerman in a wig.

Blackmist ,

Yeah, but that's on you.

It's not like you can use a hacked app to give you free money, unless they're doing something completely absurd like relying on client side security.

Blackmist ,

We had to feed next door's kid one day because of some family emergency.

"How many fish fingers do you want?"

"Two"

Sits down, eats one.

"You said you wanted two..."

"I only ever eat one but my mum always puts two out because she thinks it looks mean if she only gives me one."

I think the mangled English there is suggesting that some people don't care enough, and other people have enough money (to buy Windows).

Not that it matters because who the fuck pays for Windows anyway? OEMs do, but not normal people. Everything since like Windows 7 has been a free upgrade, and normies get a new PC more often than that so get a copy with it.

The main issue in the push for electric cars, is that we're pretending that we can fix things with no lifestyle changes.

And for the richer people, that's probably true. But there's a big chunk of people for whom the electric car revolution means no more personal transport.

I accept that, but we need to invest in public transport exponentially more than we are doing. It needs subsidising up the wazoo so people outside the inner-city bubble can still get around. By just pretending that electric cars will reach affordable levels for the poorest, we're inviting trouble further down the line when they can't use their petrol cars any more.
