One of the biggest security expertise redpills is this is unironically a good idea and the time spent making fun of it was ill-advised for most users whose physical security threat is not a factor in comparison.

Mind blown.

Funnily enough, at my last job, my boss demanded that I write my laptop password down in a book. It was a unique password, but it was sitting in that book on an office shelf for 5 and a half years. That was the only time ive ever written a password down. Probably still more secure than several of my online account passwords..
