Don't forget:

  • Out of control sea level rise due to climate change, which is why they all live up in the sky

  • Mutants in the lower levels

Nah, I'm just outjerking the jerk.

I mean, is Harvey Birdman Attorney at Law considered canon? If so, then yep, 100% true.

Fuck that, I'd rather have Penny's Computer Book.

I think we call them "widgets."

Just searched, and it looks like you're correct.

Also, apparently there's an episode where Spacely and Cogswell are arguing about real estate and they discuss a rule of Orbit City which requires all buildings to be at least 2200 feet off the ground (I assume from their "bottom"), which would make their homes roughly the top floors of the Burj Khalifa

I think they might start getting suspicious when the account age is double the average human lifespan and is still in use.

I was referring more to the "Years of Service" badge you can find on your Steam profile, whose count begins when your account was created. It shows on the page when you look at the badge itself. Mine shows it was created on August 4, 2006.

I was told to do it in exchange for money

and most of the time neither do the business folk

Allowing libraries to accrue over generations is something business folk keenly care about because it impacts profits over time.

It's literally why they have rules against transferring ownership.

You can tell yourself it's for other reasons, but you'd just be lying to yourself about Valve being more benevolent than they actually are. They actually are in it to make money. Being told to do it in exchange for money is pretty much why this will happen.

Valve, at the end of the day, is still a company even if they're marginally more consumer friendly than most. (Let's not ignore that a lot of their "consumer friendly" decisions, like being able to return games, were literally because of laws saying they had to. They didn't do it out of the "goodness of their hearts," they did it because in some places they were being legally required to do so.)

What you have to consider is the possibility that God doesn't like you. Could be, God hates us. This is not the worst thing that can happen.

Follow. But! Follow only if ye be men of valour, for the entrance to this cave is guarded by a creature so foul, so cruel that no man yet has fought with it and lived! Bones of full fifty men lie strewn about its lair. So, brave knights, if you do doubt your courage or your strength, come no further, for death awaits you all with nasty, big, pointy teeth.

A bunch of fucking asshats operating on dumb shit like "Perception is reality."

No, you're still torturing and abusing animals, you sick fucks.

In this case, ending the sentence with "in Minecraft" makes it more true.

Even moreso if you end the sentence with "in Stellaris," which is all sorts of genocide-y.

It's clear that Kendrick really fucking hates Drake, but...

It really rubs me the wrong way that if he had the fucking "receipts" for all of this, he sat on it all until he could make a diss track.

Like, if Drake is a pedo who is grooming young women (that was clear before this anyway), isn't that a little bit more important than your ability to make a fuckin music track about it? Why would you sit on those receipts for so long instead of putting the motherfucker on blast when it happened? Why did you have to wait until Drake did a diss track first? It all feels so fucking petty and stupid.

We really do live in the worst fucking timeline. People would rather sit on criminal wrongdoing they know about to be able to use it to pump themselves and their record sales up, instead of actually, you know, helping fucking victims.

Kendrick didn't come out of it looking much better than Drake, in my opinion. They are both petty, selfish fucking twats who care more about their records sales than, I don't know, real people's real fucking lives.

Beyond sitting on a crime instead of reporting it to police because he would rather put it in a song...

  1. Using Drake's victims and their trauma essentially as props in his songs.

  2. Going all-in on weird racist shit where part of his critique of Drake is that Drake is... half-white. Like what. the. fuck. Bringing back the worst of the Colorist shit that I remember from the 90's. Don't act like this isn't fucked up, it's massively racist of Kendrick and feeds into fucked up racist shit in the black community between "light skins" and "dark skins." This hurts the black community as a whole and has effectively said to any and all half-black-half-white kids out there that the black community does not accept them. I bet they love being not accepted by both whites and blacks! What the flying fuck man. Drake being half-white has fuck-all to do with whether or not he's a good rapper, and Kendrick is old enough to god damned know better.

But yeah let's boost some dumb racist shit because it makes us feel good about our chosen side.

It's how Reality Winner got real fucked.

via Wikiedpia:

Both journalists and security experts have suggested that The Intercept's handling of the reporting, which included publishing the documents unredacted and including the printer tracking dots, was used to identify Winner as the leaker. In October 2020, The Intercept's co-founding editor Glenn Greenwald wrote that Winner had sent her documents to The Intercept's New York newsroom with no request that any specific journalist work on them. He called her exposure a "deeply embarrassing newsroom failure" resulting from "speed and recklessness" for which he was publicly blamed "despite having no role in it." He said editor-in-chief Betsy Reed "oversaw, edited and controlled that story." An internal review conducted by The Intercept into its handling of the document provided by Winner found that its "practices fell short of the standards to which we hold ourselves".

I think you might just straight say "management skills" because that's bare minimum part of their fucking job to organize a schedule well enough so they don't have to have people running into overtime to get the job done. That is time management, too, because you're supposed to know how long it takes each employee to do shit, and you should be fucking organizing based on that.

I'm so fucking sick of skeleton crews. I'm pushing 50 and the last 25 fucking years has been nothing but skeleton crews where if one person calls out sick everything falls apart. Sorry, that's inefficient as hell. If one person calling out wrecks everything, then that means you're doing it fucking wrong and maybe you need one or two more people to help cover the gaps. I'm sure it makes them beaucoup bucks in the short term, but the profits from ruining your relationship with your customer base won't last. Eventually customers do get sick of being treated like shit. (Corporations are banking on all of them similarly treating you like shit so you won't have any real options that are better.)
