Tayledras... a Shetland Sheepdog masquerading as human, finding humanity largely overrated and asking Lord Yama to return again as a dog in the next Samsara cycle of rebirth.

I don't think anyone has built a keyboard that works over the PC gameport

Yet

"PC gameport"?

I've seen keyboards over PS/2, RS-232C, and other ports.

What is a PC gameport? I thought the old joysticks for the PS/2 were 9-pin RS-232C and modern gamers typically use USB-C.

Was there another port standard?

You're never gonna believe this, but it turns out I'm gonna need to build a new keyboard

Back when I served in the military, one of the engineers on my team took all of the same mechanical principles of a mouse but scaled them upwards for a rolling cart with a couple of foot pedals for Left, Middle, Right buttons.

He called it the Rat.

He "stomped on the Rat" when he wanted to double-click on something.

I almost wish he went into commercial production with it.

Here's something cool I never realized existed:

PCBs distributed through magazines!

And NOW I really need to read up on how EPROMs allow reuse through erasure and reprogramming via UV light.

I used EPROM burners back in high school and college, but didn't really take the time to learn how reuse was possible.
