If only nix wasn't such a pain to read, with all the conveniences it has like automatically looking up variables in all of the places available.
I understand the thought, but it feels like a lot of things done to simplify writing the code makes it way harder to read, and nix's design is decades old and it really shows
Also, there are sometimes issues with nix on macos, but I'm inclined to blame it on Apple
Chinese high speed train network operates at 120–240 mph, and their maglev (very short, very expensive, very fast train route from Shanghai airport to the city centre) had the record at 268 mph. Plus, railroad may be slightly shorter due to how it is designed if the road isn't near straight already.
But yes, 3000 miles is a lot and maybe 12 hours will not be achievable for a long time yet
In this context that probably means something around "traumatized and depressed by the military regime in the place where they come from"
But they don't always come from places with such regimes and/or wars, while local citizens are also traumatized and depressed just for a different reason
