@fasterthanlime Apple ships a lot of bugs in the 6 months before release. After the last couple years, I finally admitted to myself that I didn't have a good reason for being on the beta channel, and this time around I stayed on stable. I think it really only makes sense for people that need to test macOS/iOS apps in development.
@fasterthanlime I did drop jpeg, but I still use webp fallbacks. I suppose the only way to be sure is to go hard with analytics. Then again, for your audience, you can probably just use the latest gear and get on with your life.
@fasterthanlime TM backups are easily corrupted. After years of issues, I no longer trust them as a primary/only backup. For file-level backups I use Arq to Google Cloud's archive storage class, which is quite affordable and much more reliable if you actually need it.
