The god damn Nintendo switch doesn't support usb floppy drives? Even in homebrew?

What the hell, Nintendo? I want my money back.

Maybe I can hack this back in. I hate doing usb coding but maybe

@foone I'm honestly surprised how much backwards compatibility is just left behind in modern operating systems.
Though it is really fun to see modern linux running on an ancient teletype terminal. The poor printer trying to spit out the ascii art of the logo along with the entire EULA.

It's a pity that the technology never aligned such that we could get an e-ink pda

@foone Honestly that would've been the move back then.
Low power consumption, MUCH better contrast, Actually visible in sunlight, about the same resolution, and the framerate on even the last couple generations could easily be done on eink.
And they didn't usually have password locks, so just drawing the messages to the screen as they arrived would've been so good for being able to peek at it without needing to actually do anything.

Honestly eink displays would be amazing for dumb phones. But even today's "dumb phones" are running a slim android backend with full navigation support and everything.
