@notjustbikes Do you get many drivers parking on (or driving on) the cycle paths when there are no bollards on the entrance? Or are they better behaved in the Netherlands because people realise that cyclists actually exist?

@TechConnectify I've wanted to get awnings since visiting southern France in a heatwave 2 years ago. Not done it yet, but Britain's been doing its bit to keep global average temps down the last 2 summers.

One flat I stayed in had the shutter left open all day before I arrived and was incredibly hot overnight, but the next day it felt pretty good after leaving the shutter closed. I may be wrong, but I think you leave the window open with the shutter down for airflow. That's why they open inwards

@TechConnectify Another dishwasher video from you reminds me how stunned I was recently to see someone basically hand-washing their plates before putting them in the dishwasher

@TechConnectify It all makes sense now, having grown up with ceramic hobs (as we brits call the glass ones). Is the reason for not using the simmerstat on induction because those aren't resistive loads, and so the controls are more complex/precise?
