I've heard, call it a gossip since I don't remember the source, that russian teachers are promised a livable wage (for once!) and one-time подъёмные supportive payment if they move to occupied regions, so it's not only locals who get bent over a knee or happy collaborators but also a fresh import of the worst unprincipled sell-outs. This profession does need some form of a Hippocrates' oath. I don't know about others but I lost any respect to many of local teachers over the last years.
So what are you going to do to prevent this from happening?
VW: "Full supply chain transparency does not exist"
So what are you going to do to increase your supply chain transparency? The supply chain that you are, by German law, and soon in all EU countries, responsible for.
The wording smells of willful incompetence. I hope it's just regular incompetence, but intentionally presenting their legal duties as some kind of unicorn ("does not exist") does not look good.
They're trying to avoid the conclusion that the answer is a supply chain that doesn't involve unaccountable uncheckable firms all the way through, because that will mean a supply chain that primarily works through countries that have actual labor protections, and capitalist owners hate nothing more than labor protections.
Since HRW is calling out Scholz for acting against Germany’s long term interests by not adhering to his own government’s new China strategy, here is a link to it:
