I wanna see a 3d printer designed by woz.
No limit switches, it just bangs the print head against the casing on boot up like an apple II drive

@foone You can just remove/disconnect/destroy those switches. Often the firmware will assume the head must have gotten there after a while and continue.

I can say from experience that even the first Ultimaker had that fallback behaviour and that it sounds horrible.
