@notjustbikes "Smaller parking lots. Slower speeds. Dedicated transit lanes. Retail near the street."
Hey, that describes where I live! Except that store owners keep complaining the slower speeds are driving customers away, many stores are closed (maybe because of the pandemic? but they don't think about that) and many are against a second pedestrian-only road.
It's annoying when people complain that my content is "too eurocentric". And after making my Shinjuku station video a lot of people are saying that "finally" there's some "non-eurocentric" content. 🙄
I make videos about MY experiences in cities. I don't summarize a bunch of facts you could easily find on Wikipedia, Twitter, or news articles, and then lazily recite it over stock footage.
I actually GO to places, experience them in person, and over 90% of my videos is footage I filmed myself.
@notjustbikes I need to do something that's a stereotype but, well, come visit Brazil. My city's planning is horrible, the BRT line construction never finishes, but it's a huge country, there is a lot to see, maybe there is something good to find.
@notjustbikes That makes me think: since there are not any national automakers in Brazil, the relationship with China is somewhat good, and the demand for EVs is steadily increasing here, Chinese is sure to find a Brazilion potential customers.
I don't know who needs to hear this (that's a lie: ~80% of drivers) but when you're in a turn lane or an exit only lane, you should still signal to confirm to those around you that you are aware of the lane you're in and where it's about to go.
