Okay well JPEG-XL might not be supported in browsers but nobody said I can't use it as an "original" format in my blog's content/ directory, right?

(Note: I'm still serving AVIF to browsers)

Showing total file sizes: 1.1GiB for PNG, 16MB for JPEG-XL. I explain I used lossy compression with quality 30, which is still visually undistinguishable

@fasterthanlime are these the same pictures on first screenshot? JXL is 100x smaller than png?

In personal news: jaw surgery round two will NOT happen over the summer like I thought, but in Q1 2025, which means I have the whole year to make cool stuff!

I was bummed to have my year split in half by surgery + recovery, so this is actually great news for me (although you'll see braces in every video this year I guess 😬).

Anyway. Onwards!

How's your morning?

I'm explaining to Amazon support that they have 3 mailing addresses: the company address (wrong, I need them to change it), the billing address (wrong, I COULD change it if my payment method appeared on the relevant page), and the delivery address (right)

@fasterthanlime spent 3 hours yesterday to explain to customer service that no, I don't have internet and yes, I should have it.

I still don't have internet. At the very least they agreed it's a problem.
