The one thing I kinda miss from Twitter is that thing where you'd yell about the poor service of Kaiser Permanente or something, and @ KaiserHelpRep would show up in your mentions because they didn't like seeing their name rightly dragged through the mud by accounts with a hundred thousand followers. That was kinda fun.
@foone And they'd always try to immediately take you into a quiet room where the back and forth couldn't be seen. Happened to me all the time with Comcast issues, in particular.
@foone I have a friend who used to be able to fix long queues at Heathrow airport by politely complaining about it, because he’s sort of an influencer with a lot of followers. I don’t think he can do that anymore.
@foone That was actually what got me to finally get my internet fixed some years ago when I had two-three years of bad disconnects using Cox. Multiple techs came out and solved nothing. Called them out on Twitter and blamed them for hurting my streaming and they immediately sent a tech out that discovered ...
... a bad ground block. That's all it was. I had to get nasty on Twitter to have it resolved. Something I would've already replaced myself if I didn't live in an apartment.
@foone or I’d complain about T-Mobile being utter trash and then US Cellular would try to court me despite not living anywhere near one of their service areas. Good times.
