How many fucking times do I have to explain it?

No one knows your chosen third party candidate exists, and unless you want to become their campaign manager that will still be true in November. Even if you did, they still wouldn't win.

In the last election, Biden got 50% of the popular vote, and Trump got 45%. Say for the sake of argument that if nothing else happens, 2024 will have the exact same spread. Suppose you're the best campaign manager ever and manage to convince 2/3 of the people who would have voted for Biden, plus everyone who was going to vote third party, to vote for your candidate instead. (Given the current state of money in politics I should not need to explain why this is infeasible, but suppose it is.) Congratulations! Your candidate now has 37% of the nationwide vote. Unfortunately, that's not good enough, because Trump's voter base, who care not for your leftist policies, still gave 45% of the vote to him, and he wins the election.

All voting third party instead of Biden does is make it more likely that Trump will win.

You seem to think you’re explaining, over and over, how voting works to people who don’t know how voting works, but they do know. You’re enlightening no one.

AVincentInSpace ,

I have demonstrated that voting third party is inviting a Trump victory, yet these people who supposedly already understand everything I say insist that this is not the case. What's not clicking?

xor ,

what's not clicking is that half of the "people" trying super hard to make biden into the antichrist actually do want trump to win and are arguing disingenuously.

the time to complain about biden was the last three years, the time to complain about trump is now.

if their only political opinion is about how bad biden really is... and they never talk about trump, russia or ukraine...
then it's a duck

Are these bots in the room with us now? https://lemmy.ml/comment/9279492

xor ,

judging by your wall of sources, pretending like they're related to what i'm actually saying, it appears that you are indeed in the room...

also, you're a sea lion

davel ,
@davel@lemmy.ml avatar

They’re all related to your BlueAnon conspiracy theory about Russian bots, which you didn’t explicitly state but clearly meant to imply.

xor ,

nope, i'm not blue, not blueanon...
not implying what you pretend you think i'm implying...
you're deliberately fighting a strawman

half of the “people”

Why are people in quotes? Because you mean bots, meaning paid shills and/or software “arguing disingenuously,” and not regular people posting earnestly/organically.

if their only political opinion is about how bad biden really is… and they never talk about trump, russia or ukraine…
then it’s a duck

What “duck” are you alluding to? Russian bots.

Things Biden is just as bad on:

$ to Billionaires
Whining
Anti-science
Pro -bad -cop
Grifting
Racism
9-0 SCOTUS
Attacking Americans with military (a 16-year old was killed by drone strike under Obama, and I’m sure at least one US citizen has been killed in Palestine)
Fraud
Fossil Fuels
Prison for Abortions
Family Separation
Concentration Camps
Pathological Lying Dog-Faced Pony Soldier
Bully
Grammar
Idiocracy
Anti-Education
Thoughts and Prayers
Roe
Misogyny
Anti-Trans
Anti-BLM
Pro-Student Debt
Rapist
Muslim Bans
White Supremacy
Israel

29/42, and half of the ones he doesn’t qualify for are essentially “is named Donald J. Trump”

mojofrododojo ,

what a fabulous list of misinformed and twisted takes.

if this is really what you believe, enjoy trump I guess. you've already gone way too far to reason with, what a gish gallop of bullshit.

My God dude not this again

  • Healthcare, no idea what you're talking about, is Biden bad for health care somehow now?
  • Biden's corporate tax reforms swung Amazon's taxes from negative $1.2 billion per quarter to positive $1 billion when they took effect at the start of 2023, and they're currently paying $3 billion per quarter, a comfortable amount more than they've ever paid before. Here's this year's proposal of what he plans to do to build on top of that. Raising corporate taxes was most of how he funded stuff like the infrastructure bill.
  • Biden passed the largest single action against climate change in American history, although Republicans and Manchin blocked his earlier much more aggressive attempt.

If you were just talking about him funding a genocide we could rock and roll about how right you are, but no. I get it though -- including the other three is a necessary part in the propaganda equation because the accusations have to stay fresh and varied in order to continue hitting the right buttons to blend into an overall gestalt of badness to make it "feel" like there's a groundswell of overall opinion that Biden is just bad on everything, if that's the perception you're trying to engineer.

hydrospanner ,

Also let's not ignore the big unsaid:

Even if Biden really were as horrible as some of these people want to make others believe...

...is their implication really that the only other viable option, Trump, would be anything other than orders of magnitude worse in all of those areas?!
