I used to live in the Midwest of USA. It was very flat and trees were not absent but sparse. The sunrise and sunset were the best feature. This is beautiful.
We got CBD oil for our kitties to help them endure 4th of July fireworks. We tried giving it to them a day early to observe their reactions before everything got loud and scary. One of them scratched me so much (out of fear, not malice) that I quickly gave up. We're gonna try sneaking it on some tuna tonight. The store was sold out of CBD treats, so hopefully this works.
I went something like six months without my glasses because I still had an old thin frame. It turned out they'd landed on the base of a black standing lamp. I couldn't see them from six feet away (my rough height). It was when I bent down to plug something in that I found them. I'd probably lost them getting up to go to the bathroom after falling asleep on the couch cause they just "disappeared" one day. They were in plain sight (if I'd had them on) all along.
I once saw a cop car moving at the same speed as a shadow cast by a cloud. It looked like the cop was bringing darkness. The metaphor would hit me much harder now; this was in maybe 2000.
Sounds like a great way to further undercut public services while turning young people against the Torries. Make this shit retroactively apply to everyone serving in government and I'd have no problem with it. Fuck legislation that by design will never touch them.
Just owning it says enough about one's personality for me to pass judgement. Same as people who wear camo, people who open-carry, and people who have a Trump sticker on their car.
He was carrying a knife and an iron bar when an officer shot him dead. His identity and motive are unclear.
So no gun and you're not sure his motives. I wonder if the "growing anti-semitism" that everyone (zionists) has been warning about made this a convenient cover story.
I recognize the Plato shadows on a wall ref and someone commented about Sisyphus. Obviously, Saddam was in a hole. What's the rest? Looks like pick-axe people are part of a 2d video game. I don't get anything other than what I've described.
Does anyone know the basis for this judgement? I consciously avoid looking up news because the world is terrible and it makes me depressed. But getting it filtered through Lemmy is somehow easier to digest because we support one another in viewing terrible things as terrible.
This was the first post of the day when I opened lemmy. And it was the first to make me super satisfied with a big grin. Absolute joy. Love it! I’m not even gonna scroll cause I love this moment too much to ruin it. I’m gonna fuck off to watch some saved videos instead. Hat tip.
