I like the top panel bcs it allows for proper play time, not some baby bs. Kinda like cats vs cats play.

Never needed to clip any cats claws so I can't sympathise entirely, but I doubt I would have forced the issue if kitties were too against it (especially if the second time they would still be against it).

In the olden days, I would have spent hours to fix it, completely forget everything I've done over the course of those several hours and then having to reinstall it bcs I've broken something else in those unsuccessful attempts and now dont have the energy to figure out this clusterfuck too.

That was a decade+ ago, closer to two.

I've always had far more driver issues with Windows.

I have a niche laptop that for mic & speakers doesn't really have drivers for that exact ID and a close (working) match are ancient, so can't avoid crackling sounds. No issues out of the box with Linux.

Can someone knowledgeable here explain this projection in relation to green policies and carbon goals?

I assume they are now (even) less likely to be in form of mandates and we are moving towards 'capitalism (with a lil stimulus push here and there) will solve the problem it created'?

Tho maybe nuclear energy could also get a little bit more (re)renewed traction?
