@arstechnica The article wasn't clear (or I missed it.) Does "bricking" just mean they're discontinuing? Normally in electronics it means doing something to render it completely unusable (such as erasing firmware.) It's bad enough we live in such a throwaway society, but if it's reaching the point companies actually destroy their discontinued products rather than just let people keep using them we're at full blown dystopia levels now...

Auch der #VAR unterliegt dem Arbeitsrecht. Einfach mal Überminuten machen geht nicht, das muss mit der Gewerkschaft abgesprochen werden. Erst wenn die #UEFA mit entsprechenden Mitteln zustimmt darf der VAR auch Verlängerung machen. Kann ja sonst jeder Foul spielen.

We'll see what damage there is to the launch site by the coming hurricane before we put a lot of stock in it. Though I suspect, of anything at Starbase, the launch tower is the LEAST likely to be significantly damaged.

Mir haben sie immer erzählt, dass Videoüberwachung auf Bahnhöfen für mehr Sicherheit sorgt. Wenn sich nun einer in seiner Zelle trotzdem umbringen kann, dann hat er wohl das Argument ad absurdum geführt.
Vielleicht waren 1 oder 2 Kameras in der Zelle nicht genug? Wir brauchen mehr Kameras!

Akute Suizidprävention zu nahezu 100% geht nur mit Sitzwache. Auch auf den akuten/geschützten und überwachten Räumlichkeiten von Kliniken kommt es trotz Überwachung immer wieder zu Suiziden. Wer unbedingt unbedingt möchte, schafft es leider auch. Außer es sitzt in der akutphase 24/7 jemand daneben.
