@foone I was just considering patching the "Family" Mastodon server to have a >500 character limit and then saw your comment and thought "Yeah, maybe that wouldn't be a such a good idea."
(I already made sure Mastodon-private-me is dark mode, and Mastodon-public-me isn't.)
