@arstechnica This is a reason why I probably will never go with a company who is new. Most of the auto companies have been around 50+ years now, established and knows how to make a car. As an example, I like Rivian but so much of their tech in their car is tied up in cloud services that if VW hadn't stepped in I'm not sure about their long term viability. They were burning through money like.....well like Tesla and them needing a cash infusion from time to time.
