Accidental poetry is all too easy in Polish: if you say "w sobocie" (case 6) instead of "w sobotę" (case 4), suddenly saturday is not a time... it's a place ✨

@dmelo Quelle est ta langue maternelle ?

@fasterthanlime Le portugais. Très semblable au français dans toutes ses irrégularités 😉

@fasterthanlime Here's another one, from mixing up accusative with instrumental:

Czy chcesz sałatę? — Do you want a salad?
Czy chcesz sałatą? — Do you want to be hit with a salad in the face?

@fasterthanlime but then you change „w sobocie” to „przy sobocie” and we’re talking about time again, meaning „around Saturday”

@fasterthanlime to be fair its a pretty similar difference to "on saturday" vs "in saturday"

@duckonaut sure, but does anyone accidentally say "my girlfriend is Poland" in English because of word endings?
