@arstechnica This seems to be a bit misleading as the 2 countries healthcare system is working in totally different ways. Also, as I understand it, in America there are more middlemen wanting a piece of the cake. The US system is corrupt and it’s not helping the population.
if the drugs are needed, then either put a firm price ceiling on the drug's price & arrest any Pharma Bro who don't like it-- or else nationalize the pharmaceutical industry & make the drugs the property of the taxpayer
allowing this industry to make up extortionate prices is a crime that kills people
@arstechnica serious question. Why is this needed? For type 2 you can just eat healthier and exercise, it’s what I did and I’m now considered pre-diabetic with my last A1C being 5.7.

I'm full-blown diabetic and my doctor just put me on Ozempic to bring down my recently rising A1C. Would be terrible if a tag team of greedy drug companies, Tiktokers, trendy stars, and fashionistas ruined this for people who actually need it. Not to mention maybe toppling the entire health-care system, bad as it is in the U.S.
