@joeyh @whitequark Every time I’m reminded of \?\ I need to look it up to see what other path oddities I’ve forgotten.

Today it’s “COM¹, COM², COM³, and LPT¹, LPT², LPT³ are reserved names because the code considers ¹ ² ³ (but not the other superscript digits) to be digits”.
