@arstechnica while simultaneously working tirelessly to restrict/price repairs to strongly incentivise sending your broken device to Apple instead of a third party repair shop, resulting in a massive number of devices being trashed and replaced instead of repaired with minimal materials. The environmental impact of forcing users to abandon older devices is huge, but they'd rather focus on eliminating a 3"x3" sheet of plastic 🙃
@arstechnica Remember that environmentalism was the excuse for removing the charger brick from the box of the latest iphones. This is just another step in removing things from the box so that you have to buy them separately. I wouldn't be suprised if apple removed the USB type c port to make you go out and buy an apple branded wireless charger. Don't give them any more ideas, I don't want them to get courageous again lest android phones follow suit.
I have a bunch of these going back to the original rainbow logo. Never once used them, as I never put stickers on anything. I always found it interesting though when people put them on their car windows.
