@arstechnica We had something similar in the Netherlands. The smart thermostat/home/everything thing called Toon. I was hired to help on version 2 but it soon became clear that nobody in that noisy ex-coca-cola factory hall was able to create anything. A hundred people trying to work in an echoing hell-scape.

I left -- and I guess other people, too, because now nothing is left of https://quby.nl.

@arstechnica if it is smart on its own, it will probably be fine.

If it’s dependent on Internet connection, who needs it?
