I want a macropad keyboard that's also kind-of a watch. Like, it's a macropad, but you wear it on your wrist/arm.

@foone rii do a range of tiny wireless keyboards but the actual key-press actions are sucky.
maybe a raspi zero-w macro pad with a small lipo?

@foone Sounds cool! I once met a musician who had built something like that, also using rubber buttons and textile to make it flexible.

@foone Like, does it Bluetooth to a PC?

@trevorflowers yeah. Or RF to a receiver

@foone I guess it could use lora to something that acts like a USB keeb. With a good antenna on the receiver it might work all over your neighborhood.

@foone So a Pip-Boy from Fallout?

I think you could actually make one without too much fuss. There's a tool called Touch Portal that can turn an Android device into a macro keypad, and it doesn't have to be physically connected to the computer, so there's nothing in the way of getting a small phone and making a strap for it.

I use it to quickly get photo editing tools.

@PhotoSniperFox something like that, but I need physical buttons so it'll work without looking at it

@foone Wait... like this? Because I want this too. And the fact that these never went back in to production is proof that Nintendo has lost their cool.

    @foone something that causes key presses when the palm hits the forehead? Been there, wanted that.

    @foone or a wearabke keyboard?

    @serapath nah. Those came up a lot when I looked for wearable keyboards. I want a keyboard that doesn't get in the way of my fingers

    @foone really?
    those came up a lot?
    wow. you definitely know how to search the internet i guess.

    i have NEVER seen a single wearable split keyboard and i am searching for years.

    This is my side project i am working on since forever, because of that.

    If you still have any of those links, let me know, definitely interested 🙂

    Otherwise - not really sure how a keyboard is supposed to not get into the way of your fingers - thought that's the point.

    But please shared if you find one
