@TechConnectify This got me thinking about if the glass got cracked what would happen to the sensor or if it would go haywire if, say, a rock flew up and chipped the glass near to the sensor.
@TechConnectify Oh no. I haven't even watched it yet and I'm already triggered because the one of my car (Smart, aka "Mercedes") works so stupid bad (well, like half the time or so). I've heard the ones from BMW are as bad as mine.
Well, I get angry at such stuff really, really quickly - and often.
😐
@TechConnectify I’ve seen Waymo Jaguars trigger their wipers on ambient infrared light from other Waymo vehicles and I still can’t figure out why it happened to match the pattern the sensor expected
@TechConnectify My ID4 has a menu item for it. It's fairly buried so while it's more discoverable, it's quite a bit more annoying to use than the stalk. But at least you GOT a user manual! There's an ID4 manual but you have to download the PDF from VW!
Regardless, super cool to see a deep dive into this. I knew the basics but not so many details. My daughter enjoyed too.
@TechConnectify Love it. Would like to see more of these 10-ish mins ones, too. Easier to quickly fit them in in between that annoying thing called ‘work’. 😂
@TechConnectify Enjoying the current video! Annnd... a not really related question, other than you do show your car in the video. I'm thinking of buying an Ioniq 5 used. I was wondering, if you had it to do over again, would you make the same purchase?
@LyleDAL absolutely! I have a few small irritations with it as you do any car, and boy should it have a rear wiper. Really dumb miss on Hyundai's part, there.
But on the whole it's by far the best car I've ever owned, and its extremely fast charging makes it very future-proof. The only thing I'd say is avoid the matte paint options. They're a pain to take care of and will show scuffs you can't buff out - in fact I'm considering having a clear coat put on my car. But gosh it's pretty.
@TechConnectify As a UX designer I'm honor bound to say it SHOULDN'T be required that you read the manual. They already have a long list of screens you have to wade through in the display, having a change wipers option seems like a reasonable request
