played an hour of NuRiven tonight and there are a lot of really immediate structural changes to the game but a really subtle one i noticed right off the bat was the revert of the riven linking sound to the "classic" linking sound

i'd love to do a parody of gris (the worst game ever made) where instead of representing like, vaguely the idea of like, depression, the evil bird you defeat by jumping a bunch represents covid-19. and you do some platforming challenges that represent not going to restaurants for a month or two and then the evil bird is defeated and everyone celebrates with a big maskless party

my school keeps sending out emails like "we're being incredibly gracious and tolerant of the encampment because we respect students' voices even though the tents are illegal and in violation of policy and they're upsetting everyone on campus because the concept of a tent is psychically damaging"

like, i do appreciate you haven't called in cpd to smash my students' heads but you do seem rather focused on the illegality of the tents and not your own collusion with an apartheid state
