You're putting words into their mouth. Plus making crazy comparisons.

The EU could do that, if it wasn't for Poland assisting Hungary. I'm guessing that Slovakia nowadays also helps Hungary by preventing the EU from stopping this nonsense.

Toss em out.

Not possible.

Meanwhile orban bringing MANY immigrants to hungary, intentionally

He should've learned from the Netherlands. Right wing made claims about asylum seekers. While showing immigration figures.

In Netherlands immigration is not due to asylum seekers. Immigration consist of students and knowledge workers.

Anyway, they said there was a huge issue with reuniting families of asylum seekers. There wasn't an issue, it was just claimed.

Netherlands now have a radical right wing government. Based off of untrue statements. They're planning to save loads of money, just need the EU to make those happen. Meaning, it won't happen. Obvious plan is to blame the EU for things which are predictable.

The sun doesn't always shine, and the wind doesn't always blow.

Which is why you connect countries together. Combined with having more than enough capacity. And battery storage.

All of that is still significantly cheaper than nuclear. Plus it can be built way faster.

Nuclear is expensive and takes ages. And that's just the budget, it'll easily go crazy over budget and be a decade late.

And wind turbines and small scale hydroplants are not nearly as effective

You can easily see how much energy those wind turbines produce. I haven't seen your claim made in many years. It simply isn't true. Just check the production of the various wind farms.

European made batteries could be 60% less carbon intensive than Chinese, researchers urging Europe to support investments ( www.transportenvironment.org ) Englisch

Onshoring the EV supply chain to Europe would cut the emissions of producing a battery by 37% compared to a China-controlled supply chain, according to new analysis by Transport & Environment (T&E). This carbon saving rises to over 60% when renewable electricity is used. Producing Europe’s demand for battery cells and...

Ya know what would reduce carbon even more and pretty much eliminate microplastics: Rail.

Container shipping is more efficient than tail though per km travelled. Just look up the figures.

Rail would be great instead of trucks, but there's quite a few complications to go from truck to rail.

If respondents have the perception their country takes in too many immigrants

Pretty much any right wing party in the Netherlands lied about the number of asylum seekers. Then they purposely mix up the number of immigrants and asylum seekers. Plus asylum seekers are the latest group to be blamed for government failures.

People are giving significant tax benefits for work immigrants. But give them a different name (knowledge workers), so they can continue to pretend most immigrants are asylum seekers. While in reality asylum seekers make up a tiny portion of the immigrants in the Netherlands.

If I see stuff about immigrants I'm always suspicious. Likely the complaint is about asylum seekers and equalling every immigrant as an asylum seeker.
