As a European, it seems reasonable to me. I think the UK should let one or two generations pass to assess its true power, influence, and wealth in the world before making any major decisions. Similarly, the EU needs to find its own way, see how far it can go without the UK (and possibly without the tutelage of the USA), and thus determine what concessions it might need to make to the UK in a negotiation and what aspects would be non-negotiable.
Sorry for my ignorance, but what would the Model T be here? And why does it make this rocket obsolete? I don't know much more about the subject than I see in the press.
That's fine, but is that so essential right now that it can be compared to going from a horse-drawn carriage to a car? I mean, do you think there won't be room for disposable launchers anymore?
Well, I don't have exactly the same opinion, another day we can discuss things like Pfizergate or why a Ukrainian is worth more to this commission than a Palestinian. But it is clear that it is much better that whatever the Kremlin considers acceptable, there is no debate on that
I am not worried about the war in the Middle East, I am worried about the genocide in the Middle East, and I have been for decades, but if ethnic cleansing accelerates and yet my rulers applaud the genocidaires, they increase my protests, call me a hypocrite if you want, but it seems logical to me, if not it seems like a silly argument, a bit Nazi to me. Killing children indiscriminately has those things
Or yes, of course, my argument is stupid but saying that yours is a Nazi is the limit, that is, being against the mass murder of children is being an apolygist for Hamas. You seem eager to use logic.
He is telling me that being against the extermination of a people completely is being in favor of a terrorist group. If you think that does not fall within what it means to be a Nazi, you should review your history books
100% agree with this, we have to put tariffs on China and assume the consequences when they respond with a little courage, if at the first increase they make in tariffs on wine or pork we cower, this will fall on us
Of course, the problem is to expect the industry to "come back" we must not let it go, for the issue of cars the example of solar panels should be instructive, if the factories close today, they will not reopen tomorrow, when China has the monopoly of a sector we will not be able to have a part again,
We must act quickly and forcefully
The problem with China is not that it invests in one sector or another, we can invest in moving away from oil as much as you want, I would support that. The problem with china is that we can't compete with their labor costs.
So as long as they do not have paid vacations and health insurance for their employees at the European level, we have to compensate for that cost difference with tariffs or our companies compete with one hand tied behind their backs.
I would like to be able to help, but I don't see myself capable of moderating a community in English, that is if whoever accepts the position can count on my help, support and solidarity from now on.
Well, I'm not happy, but things seemed like they were going to be much worse. Now I hope that we fight against those who blame Europe for its own mistakes and respond to the legitimate concerns of many citizens, otherwise in five years we will have much bigger problems.
I don't know almost everything about Slovak politics, but I want to think that as a democracy that it is, this man had the support of, at least, a very important part of its population, which is why I consider that any attack against him is an attack on the entire people of Slovakia and its political system. I hope this is the work of a madman and not an organized network of terrorists.
On the other hand and on a human level, I hope that this man recovers completely and can resume the functions that the Slovak people consider for him.
If France wants the European Union to be a military power, there are two things that only France has and will have to share, one is nuclear weapons (I am glad to see that this is beginning to be considered) the other is the permanent seat at the UN, it can still be a Frenchman who sits there, even name it France, but it must respond to the interests of the union and answer to the commission
Without these two things together, the EU will never be a superpower on a par with the USA or China.
All my support and help for whoever accepts the position, for my part I do not see myself prepared to moderate a community in English that is not my mother tongue and it is already quite difficult for me to participate.
