It's annoying when people complain that my content is "too eurocentric". And after making my Shinjuku station video a lot of people are saying that "finally" there's some "non-eurocentric" content. 🙄

I make videos about MY experiences in cities. I don't summarize a bunch of facts you could easily find on Wikipedia, Twitter, or news articles, and then lazily recite it over stock footage.

I actually GO to places, experience them in person, and over 90% of my videos is footage I filmed myself.

It really is wild how far the US is behind the rest of the world when it comes to public transit.

Outside of NYC, Canadian cities have significantly more per-capita transit ridership than US cities ... and transit isn't even that great in Canada.

Per the article below, Ottawa numbers are 64.2M trips for 2023, over ~1M population, and they say this represents 66% of 2019 levels so that works out to ~97M trips for 2019.

So at 97@2019 and 64.2@2023, you can slot in Ottawa on the bar graoh above just behind Edmonton to round out Team Canada.
