Because Swedish is hard to learn and internet trolls are less likely to learn it for a small population. This removes much of the chaff that English language news receives from many different sources, resulting in much more honest news.

This means that ten or twenty years ago the Swedes were given accurate climate information and trusted the people who said it was a danger. They actioned on it by pivoting into new energy technologies like recycling and reuse.

The lack of oil industry lobbying helped preserve the trust in government and so government was trust to make the right decisions for public policy with regard to that climate information.

Swedish news media is also held to a higher standard than English language publications. All major English speaking countries having a "garbage paper" that spouts bottom feeder ideas and they are conveniently owned by one company that coordinates the fronts of the culture war.

I saw that and then realized that having parabolas emanating from a mouth is more confusing than the whole cartridge. The cartridge is 100% recognizable while a fired bullet needs more context, like smoke or motion. Besides, it's art and clearly meant to be symbolic instead of realistic.

No. Shame is powerful and under utilized by the left because we are afraid of hurting people. The right is dropping bombs on children and threatening fascism. The difference in restraint is huge and it is hurting the left more.

The right whines when it doesn't get it way and throws legal tantrums when they have to play by the same rules as everyone else. This is just the start of the schadenfreude. The right can fucking die of collective anger for all I care.

Because they are very politically right and value authority and the appearance of strength over anything else. As a culture they were always squished next to a giant empire that was dying but would wipe them like a shit smear. They are born wanting boot flavor.

The picture is of John Wick, a character known for fighting an entire criminal underground because someone killed his puppy.

Kristi Noem is the governor of South Dakota. She wrote a book detailing how she went hunting with a puppy, the puppy scared birds she was hunting, so she put a bullet into it's head. She admitted it was an untrained puppy so the conclusion many draw is that she needlessly murdered a dog that she could have otherwise trained.

The punchline is that John Wick is coming after her because she killed a puppy.
