@fasterthanlime Can Whisper handle slightly non-standard words in languages other than English? iOS‘ dictation is barely usable for me, and my German isn’t even that heavy on dialect.

@Eramdam @ShadowJonathan @cadey @fasterthanlime I used Whisper on a DaVinci Resolve plugin to transcribe text to speech and it really nailed on a video in Brazilian Portuguese with lots of English words mixed in. It’s pretty good.

@guilhermedea @Eramdam @ShadowJonathan @cadey I'm fairly sure DaVinci Resolve Studio's built-in speech to text uses Whisper, and it did fine with French on some test videos.
