@foone same, but another significant portion of my time is spent thinking about all the things I could 3D print if I just modeled it, but never taking the time to measure and model anything.
@foone I bought a Maslow cnc thing a few years back, and realized I either had time for woodworking as a hobby, or running a Maslow. So I get the feeling.
I sold the Maslow for a song and bought a shaper instead.
@foone this strongly resonates with my past experience with linux: for years I was spending a significant part of the time to make it work (or changing distros), instead of doing work with it. Over time this changed, and I lastly moved to nixos (I don't want update-surprises anymore). I got it "good enough" for work, and there's plenty of stuff yet to be "fixed" to my liking (if and when I'm in the mood, and no more breaking in the middle of something else).
