Archaeopteryx , vor einem Monat in I've got an HP Chromebook 11 G4 coming to me soon and I want to install Linux on it

Not sure if this helps because I've never owned a Chromebook nor installed Linux on one but the HP Chromebook 11 G4 was supported by Gallium OS (which has been discontinued). I guess you could still follow their documentation but choose a different Linux Distribution due to security hazards.

Kubuntu or KDE Neon (also a 'buntu). I absolutely love KDE, and the Linux desktop experience in general has come a long, loooonnng ways in recent years.
